    Along with cosmetics, a small pack of good moisturizer and lip-balm is needed.......both during the journey and for the first few days....till we start shopping here.........:)

    Thanks for the important list....:bowdown...Certificates with enough photo copies.....:thumbsup
    Also, it is better to keep some copies of PP size photos too......:)

    Some more ..buy rubber bands, ziploc covers so that groceries can be covered it neatly either by using rubber bands or ziploc cover until we get containers :))
    I bought oil for cooking too ...sealed in covers nicely and moulded in cooker.

    nice list of items for new comers...

    During packing always keep the necessary docs like if dependant spouse/kids are travelling Principle Applicant petition papers, Spouse address and phone# in US, Some dollars in purse, marriage certificate...all these in backpack is good idea.

    If travelling with any electronic gadgets like laptops, small cameras, dont pack in suitcases....while customs it will be a problem to unpack suitcases:bonk

    Food items pack in sealed covers, not to mix them with clothing, if any leakage then clothes will get that stains and smell:hide:

    Need some more from fellow ILites

    Nice list dear.
    In case of bringing tablets in strips, better to keep them in the checked baggage and carry just what is required for the travel in the hand baggage.

    During our last trip,

    at our security clearance for the domestic flight ,

    I saw a passenger with a locked hand baggage, and the key was misplaced,

    she was searching for the key for a long time,

    making all of us behind in the queue,wait for long, and ultimately opened it,

    all that was inside was packets of sweets,they were all trashed immediately ,

    I am sharing this, just to stress the point of carrying less luggage as hand

    baggage to avoid embarrassments.:bonk
