Tips for cleaning small silver items

Yeah, i do pretty much the same thing except instead of vinegar, i add a teaspoon of salt. Even though it cleans 90% of the black grime on my silver idols, it doesnt do as good a job as your picture displays. I will use your method next time and see. Thanks for the tip.
