    Dear All,
I am Sthuthi Shandilya, dd of Anupamag...and am very fond of gardening! I live in India and summers these days get very hot and humid...

My question is that in summer my plants will need water at least once a day. I study in 6th grade and I am a very busy student due to the upcoming final exams...Is there any way my plants can continue to stay healthy if I water them less frequently?
If there is any product I can use to make the watering less frequent, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Sthuthi

    Hi Stuthi,

I am really astonished that you are into gardening at your age!I have my cousins who don't play outside or go out they just watch tv or iPad or browsing..u r much impressive..I also suggest you to start little herb garden..don't think that you are wasting your time, gardening always reduces your stress from study/work..well,anyway coming to the point..
1.You can place a curved plate or a small tub under your pot and pour water into it.The roots from the pot suck up the water from the holes/drainage.

2.Put holes under coke bottle and place it on the top of your pot.Fill it with water.Water will be supplied to the plant .

Let me know if you have any doubts.I do have my channel on container gardening. You can also follow it by subscribing....

    Hi aswathyk,

you could use boric acid powder mix this powder with any food, such as rice and wheat flour. Make this in a paste form and. Keep in different places on pieces of paper. Avoid contact with pets or children.

You can keep parts of the mixture in various places at night before going to bed.

This remedy was used by my husband successfully, and volla!

It worked better than the chemical sprays.:clap2:

Since Doctor had advised me not to inhale any sprays.
