To realize the value of a sister, ask someone who doesn't have one. To realize the value of ten years, ask a newly divorced couple. To realize the value of four years, ask a graduate. To realize the value of one year, ask a student who has failed a final exam. To realize the value of nine months, ask a mother who gave birth to a still born. To realize the value of one month, ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby. To realize the value of one week, ask an editor of a weekly newspaper. To realize Tte value of one hour, ask the lovers who are waiting to Meet. To realize the value of one minute, ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane. To realize the value of one-second, ask a person who has survived an accident. To realize the value of one millisecond, ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have. You will treasure it even more when you can share it with someone special. To realize the value of a friend, Lose one.
Good one on time...but! Hi Prathi, That was a very good one about the preciousness of time. But, I felt hard reading this line... To realize the value of a friend, Lose one. It is a very high price to pay in my opinion.
I agree with you shakthi Even i share ur view of the line To realize the value of a friend, Lose one. Thats quite disturbing i felt. I even wanted to cut the line while posting. but i didn't want to edit the content which i got thru a forwarded mail. Isn't it always said we realize value of people and things most when they are gone? I think the writer cited the line in the same perspective. But it truly is a high price to pay.
very true Dear Prathi How very true...'Time' and its value defined in so many ways. One saying which I read, I would like to say it now.. How ever hard pressed one is for " Time', still one should... " Take time to dream- it hitches the soul to the stars" Take time to laugh - it is the music of the soul" thanks ambika
Dear ambika, " Dreams hitch our souls to the stars"..the very thought makes dreaming a very alluring experience. Writers create ripples in our hearts with their words and leave an everlasting impression on our souls with such short yet sweet thoughts. Thanks for sharing the wonderful thoughts with us ambika.
Hi Prathi, This is an interesting thread that you have posted. I found one more article that made to realize the value of time and the need to use it wisely. Here it is. Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening it deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course! Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow".You must live in the present on today's deposits. The clock is running. Make the most of today.
hi Sonal, That was a good one....make use of today! How true we cannot carry the time to tomorrow. Also thanks for posting it under Prathi's thread....i had missed reading this and all the responses also. It made for some good thoughtful reading, due to you! Well, let's all try to do as much as we can Today, Time waits for no one!
time and tide wait for no man, dear prathi and sonal, if prathis made interesting reading sonals was verywonderful. time in this world is so short for us. we want to do so many things in such short time. time definitely is invaluable. thankyou, meenu
