    i have one more query on the above post

    If the house in other state is rented out to someone, then still can we claim HRA benefit and EMI benefit also???????

    We have one Kotak Life Insurance Plan, for which we pay yearly 11543/- (started in 2004)

    We have another one Birla Insurance Plan for which we pay year 23380/- (started in 2005)

    can we continue or we can cancel it???

    Yes you can claim both the benefit but you will have to show rental income under the head "Income from other sources". This income will be taxable.

    start date 2004 august
    maturity date : 2019

    sum assured : 200000/-

    Yearly EMI : 11453

    Birla Insurance

    FlexiLifeLine 2003

    Start date 2004
    EMI 23820/-
    Face amount : 200000/-
    maturity date : 2070 (i think this is like pension plan)
