I started the prayer thinking I will do it till I buy the house, and exactly after 8 months I booked a beautiful house.

I am sharing the pooja details here :
On the day of Thiruvonam Star (monthly nakshatram), have a head bath, and light ghee lamp with 5 wicks for Mahavishnu. Take a lamp which can hold a lot of ghee. Do sankalpam (ie, your wish and why you are doing the pooja). Chant the Vishnu Sahasranamam, followed by Vishnu Ashtotharam. Nevidyam : Paal Payasam or Semya Payasam. Do nevidyam, and aarati as normal. Let the lamp burn till the entire ghee gets over (ie. do not put it off). If you are working, you can do this prayer / pooja in the morning, and leave for work, after keeping a few drops of the milk payasam on the lamp (just touching the lamp with payasam would be sufficient).
Very simple and a very effective prayer.

Dear Preity,

Sorry, I just saw your message only today. I have heard that this Pooja can be done for fulfilling other wishes also.

You could also do the powerful Siddhamangala Stotram (there is a separate thread on this) to fulfill your wish to get a job.

According to me, all prayers are directed to the Supreme One. So, go ahead and do whatever is convenient for you with complete faith and you will definitely see the results.
