Thanks Suryakala for the narration of Thiruppavai. Sometime back Pavithra wrote elaborately and presented Research articles on all thiruppavai and the mails appeared in Regional poetry.The write up concluded before margazhi.The response was very poor. மார்கழி மாதம் 27ம் நாள். புதன்கிழமை. (ஆருத்ரா தரிசனம்). திருப்பாவை, பாசுரம்- 27. கூடாரை வெல்லும் சீர் கோவிந்தா உந்தன்னைப் பாடிப் பறை கொண்டு யாம் பெறும் சம்மானம் நாடு புகழும் பரிசினால் நன்றாகச் சூடகமே தோள் வளையே தோடே செவிப் பூவே பாடகமே என்றனைய பலகலனும் யாம் அணிவோம் ஆடை உடுப்போம் அதன் பின்னே பாற் சோறு மூட நெய் பெய்து முழங்கை வழி வாரக் கூடி இருந்து குளிர்ந்தேலோர் எம்பாவாய். ராகம் தாளம்- பூர்வி கல்யாணி, மிச்ரச்சப்பு. பொருள்: கூடார் - தம்மைஅடிபணியாதவரை, எதிரிகளை, விரோதிகளை, கூடமாட்டோம்என்றுஇருப்பவர்களை; சம்மானம் - பரிசு, அடையும்பாக்கியம், நிலைமை; சூடகம் - கைக்குஆபரணம், கைவளை; தோள்வளை - வங்கி; தோடு - கம்மல்; செவிப்பூ - மாட்டல், கர்ணபுஷ்பம்; பாடகம் - காலுக்குஆபரணம், பாதகடகம், மற்றொருவகைகால்அணி; வழிவார - வழியும்படி, வழிந்துஓடும்படி; கூடி - எல்லோரும்ஒன்றாகக்கூடி; எதிரிகளை வெற்றிகொள்ளும் சிறப்புமிக்க கோவிந்தனே! உன்னை நாங்கள் பாடி அருள் பெற வந்தோம். அருட்செல்வத்துடன் இவ்வுலக வாழ்விற்கான பொருட்செல்வமும் தருவாயாக! அது இருந்தால் தானே நாடு புகழ்கிறது. கையில் அணியும் சூடகம், தோளில் அணியும் பாஹுவலயம், காதில் அணியும் தோடு, கர்ணப்பூ, காலில் அணியும் பாடகம் ஆகிய அணிகலன்களை எங்களுக்குக் கொடு. புத்தாடைகளை வழங்கு. பின்னர் விரதத்தை நிறைவு செய்யும் வகையில், கூட்டமாக உன்னுடன் அமர்ந்து கையில் நெய் வழிய பால்சோறு உண்போம். Hey Lord Govinda, who is known for victory over enemies, after singing you we will get drums and many gifts, And after being praised by all the people, wear we will the golden flower on our hair, wear we will golden bracelets, Wear we will golden ear studs, wear we would then the golden flowers on the ear, wear we will ornaments on the legs, Wear we will pretty new dresses, eat we will rice mixed with milk, covering the rice fully with ghee, and with the ghee dripping from our forehands, we will be together and be happy, and worship our Goddess Pavai.
