    Dear Chithra madam,

Today we had moolangi dal for dinner and it was awesome. My older daughter usually will avoid eating moolangi due to its smell. But today after I put the seasoning she was repeatedly asking me what new dish I am preparing and she was complimenting the aroma too. i was very glad to see her eat moolangi without whyning :).

I also tried khara bun and coffee mocha. Will write about it in my next.

    Regards
    Shree.

Thanks, Shree. The advantage of that dhal is, it is not even mildly "smelly"!
Even in sambar, the smell is very strong!
I wonder & am anxious if you got khara bun and coffee mocha, OK??:idea
Please post comments in the post your comments thread.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Refrigeration

    Hi Chitra

I read in your "Tips" section about how we can store cooked tur dal in the fridge so we always have it readily available. I live in Mumbai. Can you also suggest other cooked items which will last in the fridge for 3-4 days or longer in this climate condition. It will be very useful if you could suggest how to preserve cut vegetables, ginger, gr. chillies etc.

    Thanks

    Re: Refrigeration

Chaaral, it is not the whole green moong (payaru), but broken moong dhal with green skin. It is available under the name Kichdi dhal.
    Love,
    Chithra.
