Sorry, chitra - I have missed out to mention the ingredients. It is brown sugar, not dates. Per apple, 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder will do.More is yor option.
    Love,
    chithra.

    Hello Chithraji,

    Need ur help!!!! urgently.

Since my daughter and myself are travelling to India this Thursday, there is limited time.
Since my husband will be joining us after 2 weeks, Can u suggest a few items that can be made and stored, so that he can have for breakfast /tea, he likes sweets too.
I have planned to make Dosa maavu (which will last for a few days) and Poha mixture (which he likes).

Can u please suggest a few more, which can be made easily.

Want to tell u one thing -Tried ur Chana Batoora and it was a big hit (corn flour/maida), My MIL liked it too!!!

    Thanks and regards.

    Dear Theju,
freeze chappathis in ziplock covers & idlis too. Make vathakuzambu, milaku kuzambu, sambar etc. Freeze boiled mixed vegs in separate covers & paruppusili mix, green chutney for sandwich etc. .Make rava idli mix, rava upma mix, venpongal mix, lime rice mix etc - refer to my menu planning thread . I have given in detail.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear C

On a day I run out of tamarind paste, will a one-whistle sambar work with tamarind extract( soaked and pureed )? Will I need two whistles in that case?

The reason I ask is the tamarind is partly cooked when we make a paste. So, wondering if the same time is enough for an uncooked extract.

    Thanks in advance,
    Gayathri.

Yes, Gayathri, under pressure, one whistle is enough.
