haha even i do it the moment she opens her mouth i jus keep repeating the F word each time she utters nonsense ..

 

Kma, I don't know what ratings they are really. One day she suddenly started. Compared to other dils I rate you at 50th percentile. If you improve I'll give you a better rating. Thank God I didn't live with her. I met her only on the weekends and she could give this much nonsense for just 2 days a week!

Me: Madam I have other things to concetrate other listening to your checklist points and pravachans.

MIL: You clean the kitchen sink, after that prepare chapathi dough for close to 20 chapathis, chop this , chop that, soak dal and rice for Idli batter, clean the sove, soak kitchen towels................ (all in one shot and in breathless tone):

How could I forget THIS one !!!! :-D My brother reminded it to me yesterday...........

MIL: You should be like me. I was my MIL's favorite DIL. She loved me the most.

MIL (triumphantly): Yes, but we played planchette once and called her 'atma'. When we asked her who is your favorite DIL, the ghost spelled out 'R' & 'D' (my MIL's initials)

MY brother was present when she said this. Since then, he asks me occasionally, "how is your grand-MIL's ghost?"

There have been many instances when I have wanted to reply in a cheeky tone to my mom-in-law, but I usually forget them as soon as I put the phone down. This is topmost in my mind right now

MIL: I'm very modern. I am the ideal MIL. I dont want anything from you or your parents.
Me: The next time you ask me to get you ruby or jade from the gem shows or when you comment about not getting gifts for me from my parents, I should remind you of this
