Meandering through boardrooms and courtrooms, The Novel Whistleblowers, plunges deep into the dynamics of big ticket financing in real-estate.

A sinister builder with a devious but foolproof plan to hoodwink a finance company, a business manager blinded by his yen to grow business volumes and reach for the CEO’s post, two unswerving risk managers taking on an insidious mandate and staking their careers in the process, a gutsy and attractive journalist hunting for truth and a CEO walking tight-rope – all find themselves engaged in a fiercely fought race against time, where determination and courage are pitched against deceit and greed.

Designed to stimulate and provoke thought, The Whistleblowers puts the reader on a thrilling journey with interesting nuances of real-estate and housing finance, all the while depicting as to how lines get blurred casually by the lure of big money.

Will the good prevail over the evil? Shall the Whistleblowers win the battle in a materialistic society where the lines drawn between the ethical and unethical keep getting blurred?

I felt very happy to lay my hands on the book written by our dear friend Sitaraman Swaminathan @ Sridharaa, a new entrant to Indusladies who often writes short stories, humor and narratives.

The book is simple and captivating. Though the subject of housing finance and real estate appear confusing to a layman like me, Sridharaa’s lucid and crisp narration makes the reader feel at ease and totally involved with the story.

The characters are well etched out and operate in a normal workplace scenario with all its trappings of pulls and pressures and will make the readers totally identify with them. No sooner we are drawn into the compelling and grave plot.

In a scam-ridden country like ours, where every new scam appears bigger and worse, Sridharaa’s work of fiction comes at the right time and makes us sit up and think.

The Novel Whistleblowers by Sitaraman @ Sridharaa is a must-read for every upright Indian and can be bought from simplybooks.in

    I rate it 4/5.
