    Just like that-
The Tree's Trunk and Its Family
The tree's trunk is its soul, and I realized that being a trunk isn't easy.
After looking at this tree for a long time after the fall, a few thoughts emerged, which I'm sharing with you:

Look at this tree carefully. What do you see? A tree trunk and dry branches. Look a little more closely, and we see how the branches have twisted and turned over the years. Why? To reach the sun to survive. Without light and heat, it will die. It's a battle for survival with other trees, and in this process, it has to move upwards and sideways so that its leaves can absorb oxygen and water from the air. In this process, the branches have to make difficult turns and twists. It's a struggle for the leaves, branches, and trunk.

And when the leaves can no longer endure this struggle, they have to shed their leaves to make way for new leaves. Some branches must fall to make way for new ones, but the trunk remains upright.

The trunk is the soul of the tree. It cannot die. It will only die on the day of reckoning, which may come in the form of a forest fire or a tsunami. Until then, it must protect and guide the branches and leaves for their limited lifespan.

Like us, every tree has a family.

Wow. Conceived superbly and concluded metaphorically. I enjoyed reading about the struggle of a tree’s ageing part living and striving only to protect its family members. Trees are oxygen of the world. In cities it’s avenues absorb cacophony and vehicle emissions provides shade and enrich surrounding air with fragrance and rich in O2.
Btw I happen to read a discourse notes in the Hindu today that compares part of the tree with different cantos of Mahabharata.
    Here below it’s photocopy:

Though it is not a fb for your post yet I thought I must share the column with you. Regards.

    .
Wonderful indeed. Thanks. It makes me believe we are all branches of a tree. I think the concept of a family tree is still relevant.
