The Super Duper Tomato Oats Soup

    This is a super soup. It is super tasty, super nutritious and super easy to make.

    This can be a mini meal for you or you can have it with your major meals. Its filling and satisfying.

    Ingredients:

    1. 3 Big Tomatoes.

    2. 4-5 piece garlic

    3. 1 carrot.

    4. 1/2 green chili (optional)

    5. Salt to taste.

    6. 2 tablespoon Oats.

    Procedure.

    1. In a pressure cooker, pressure cook tomatoes, carrots,garlic and chili. Add sufficient water. Mix salt as well.

    2. once the veggies are boiled blend them in a blender.

    3. Put back on stove and wait for a boil to come. When the soup starts boiling add oats. Let the soup thicken. Adjust salt as per your taste.

    4. Serve hot and enjoy.

    Hi Shiva,
    Thanks for the soup recipe. Can we use quaker oats grits instead of oats? I have a packet of oats grits and do not know how to use it? Can you tell me some other recipe using grits?

    I shall try out this recipe.

    What I have used here is Quaker oats, go ahead and put in the grits. I guess they will thicken the soup as well.

    Great. I'm going to try them today. I make oats poridge, oats dosa, oats uppuma but never tries oats soup. Will give it a try.

    I am so happy you liked it. Tomatoes are really less in calories. One bowl of this soup is so damn filling. I just love it too.

    I am so happy to hear from you. I was wondering why people yet have not updated me about their first week. And you are the first one. DO me a favor, can you put up your weight statistic in the "Starting project week 1" blog post. It will be easier to see your stats from there and then decide the next week course. As of now, you are doing great. Once your periods are over start again. Please put up your stats in the "Week 1" post and I will get back to you about second week. I am glad you liked the soup.
