    Homemade one and with moms recipe it will be really great.
    I miss all those..:cry:
    I am also panning to make my own pickles, but feels lazy.. let me also try for a home made one...
    I will always add garlic with Tomato rice, while preparing Chicken, without slicing it, in that way i get it while eating.. There is also garlic curry which they used to give the ladies after delivery.. thats also yummy, i just tasted it when it was prepared for my cousin...:)

    Raji if possible can you share the recipe to make garlic pickle. I have collected from net, but just wanted to know how your mom makes it...

    back to you after a long time. actually my mom's visit has reminded me of you. she got some yummy pickles for me and instantly i was reminded of you. so, this post. you had asked for garlic pickle recipe and here i am at your service miss cbe.

    GARLIC AND MANGO PICKLE
    Ingredients:
    6 medium sized raw mangoes
    100gm garlic (remove the husk of the pods)
    300 ml sesame (til) oil
    Salt
    Turmeric-2 tsp

    For the pickle masala (powder):
    2 tsp. mustard
    2 tsp. coriander (dhania) seeds
    ½ tsp asafetida
    2 tsp aniseeds
    2 tsp cumin seeds
    1 tsp fenugreek seeds

    Method-
    Wash the mangoes and wipe them well with a clean and dry cloth.
    Chop them to chunks.
    Dry roast the ingredients for masala and grind to a fine powder.
    Heat oil till it’s hot and then let it cool to room temperature.
    Mix in the pickle powder and salt and turmeric. Add the garlic and mango pieces and mix well. Store in air tight glass jar.

    Sharanya, if you don't have so much time and have ordinary mango pickle with you,just add some garlic ,after removing their skins(husk) and mix well. that's it!
