Thanks Uma for coming in with your comments. You are perfectly right. This is too much to digest. But that does not in any way prevent these things from happening.
I need to use this forum and your response to record a sad fact of life. There is generally a misconception that women are free these days compared to what they were a few decades ago. That is not true. Domestic violence, dominating women, harassing them, all are happening now to a much greater extent that it was earlier.
In those days there was freedom in form, but there was in substance. Now it is ulta.
You are right about adoption. But even then there's a risk. A family known to me went for an adoption. The boy was 18 months old when they adopted. After keeping the boy for two years they decided that they could not manage the child and returned it to the orphanage.
    thanks for the fb, Uma.
    love,
    sridhar

    Dear Sridhar Sir,

that was a lovely story and i loved your heroine Anitha...she knew how to tackle her husband...what a typical male reaction that was..acting all noble but actually a real MCP...good one ...he deserved what he got but in such a nice classy way..........nice to read such "CONTROVERSIAl" stories...
    regards
    Mindi

Thanks, Mindi for the nice words. Controversy has been my specialisation. I am toning down here for this site.
BTW, have you read the 3rd episode of A Love Story.
    regards,

    Super!!
Though I dunno if this really happens, I really liked reading this controversial one as life is more than a fiction - so many such things can happen in real and we neednt be transfixed.

    Cheers!

    Thanks, Anusha.
Actually far worse things happen in reality. Aldous Huxley used to say, that any work of fiction has to be credible to be successful. But reality does not have to obey that rule.

    Dear varalotti,

i was going through your stories when my eyes fell upon this title i was like those with weak hearts stay back...i was like lets find out if something is fishy.....??then,i realized by the review you gave above your story on what lines the story would run on...anitha,the female lead of your story had given a nice blow to raj...as i have read your previous stories about many lakshmi's i can say anitha was a BOLD lakshmi.....:bowdown

I know its seriously hell when your in such a situation but,our bold lakshmi had no chice left with her...it was difficult for her to sleep with girish or accept that sperm donor decission..must say are people still facing such problems...how can a loving husband do this to his own wife????...as usuall a relation lasts...only on TRUST..let it be between husband and wife, parents and children....and FRIENDSHIP....

i pity Rantraj for loosing such a loving wife....like anitha..

    pooja.

    Dear Pooja,
When I wrote this story first in 1998 no magazine was ready to touch this one even with a long pole. It was not as clean as they expected. But truth has a cleanliness of its own which is what I wanted to assert in this story.
My mission is to tell the womenfolk around that they have an identity which is at least as sanctimonious and as sacred as a man's identity. And a woman should not lose that for a comfortable life or lasting marriage.

Pooja, about the old Tamil stories, the links may not work now. For all those sites have become paid sites.

While I welcome your decision to learn Tamil, there is no need to trouble yourself to such an extent to read my stories. I have translated almost all my stories into English.

In due course I propose to translate all of them.
    thanks once again.
    love,
    sridhar

Well, Rasi. Practically things are quite different. No woman would consent to marry somebody else for a child. The whole substratum of a family will be destroyed.
In those cases if there are no medical remedies the only way out is to adopt a child.
    love,
    sridhar

Fully agreed, definetly no woman will consent to marry another man for a child. But how about the pracitcality of getting a sperm donation from someone and going through medical procedures to conceive. :?::?:
