The original sin may or may not be the apple episode in Eden but suspending the mind and refusing to think, is.

From the very childhood, the only thing we do without interruption is, think. Our mind is always active and thinking and It never stops. It does not matter what it thinks, what matters is when it stops thinking.

As long as our body is functioning and the mind is active, we will think. Again, it does not matter what is the extent or limit of our thinking, what matters is what we are doing to expand the knowledge we have gained so far.
All the great inventions, writings, and anything is the product of a thinking mind.
