Last night I had a dream. Those who have read my story about "The Strategem" would well know that I am given to dreaming about food.

The latest was indeed so delicious, I woke up with my pillow soaked in drool. I lived in a house made of potatoes ..... sorry, in a house made of gold produced from potatoes. There were a lot of people hanging around. I was throwing some kind of a party. There was a noise in the background - it went khatakhat, khatakhat, khatakhat. I was wondering what was going on and asked the household staff to investigate. They told me that there was a machine that was manufacturing jalebis and that was the source of all the ruckus.
"And what about the samosas?", I asked.

"Those are being made", I was assured.

And made in a skillet of 'c****' iron. Besides the aloos inside turn into gold when fried. Only invitees are allowed to eat these. No, not for the hoi polloi, certainly not. Under no circs.

"Have steps been taken to ensure this?" I asked.

"Yes, Mr. Goon (ole clear orf) is in the kitchen keeping a watch."

"I hope Buster the dog is not anywhere around? He would chase Mr. Goon out".

"Is Mr. Goon allowed to taste any?".

"Check out if he qualifies to eat delicacies made in 'c****' iron."

When everything was ready, my guests and I sat down to enjoy potato chips, jalebis and samosas. We were discussing what we could plan for the next get-together, when .....

"Akka, what should I cook for lunch?" I heard a familiar voice say. Oh! My Lady Anatole. She has this unnerving habit of dragging me out of my dreams into the world of humdrum dishes like chawal dal.

Sigh ..... now you know why the moti needs to wait so long to get motivated to lose weight.

Sunday today I reserved it for relishing between 5 to 6 quarter kg jilebi with s couple of slender green mirchi and aloo-masala stuffed crude pyramidal samosas with touch of jilebi and hot sauce. Mouth-watering display probably with more helpings of humour a good day. You made my day here mam sister. God Bless our stomach to devour and digest such nice hot stuff often .

Some are fortunate to dream of jilebis and samosas.Congrats.However much I try I do not dream of getting rent from my tenant in time. Getting Samosas is an achievable dream and you are lucky. The last sentence is self explanatory.

Thanks a lot, sir. Food in dreams are food for snippets, but the dreams of travel just don't seem to materialize!

Done a little dispassionate google resesrch and the results are:

Viewing sweets in the dream indicates wealth receipts. Sometimes it indicates the beginning of something new and special in life. But eating sweets in the dream reduces the amount of money received or it may indicate a bad mood.

Dreaming of eating food, sweets, or dinner can have various interpretations, often depending on the context of the dream and the feelings associated with it. Here are some common meanings:

    1. Nourishment and Satisfaction: Eating in dreams may symbolize a desire for emotional or spiritual nourishment. It can represent a need to fulfill certain desires or to feel satisfied in life.
    2. Pleasure and Indulgence: Dreaming of sweets, in particular, may indicate a craving for pleasure or enjoyment. It can reflect indulgence in life or a desire to reward oneself.
    3. Social Connections: Dinner often symbolizes social interactions and relationships. Dreaming about sharing a meal may point to feelings about your connections with others, including family, friends, or colleagues.
    4. Cultural or Family Traditions: Meals in dreams can also evoke memories of family gatherings or cultural practices, indicating a connection to one's roots or heritage.
    5. Anxiety or Guilt: If the dream involves overeating or eating something unhealthy, it might reflect feelings of guilt, anxiety, or a struggle with self-control in waking life.
    6. Symbol of Abundance: Food in dreams can symbolize abundance and prosperity, indicating feelings of wealth or success.
    7. Personal Growth: Eating can also signify personal growth or development, as it often relates to digesting experiences or emotions.
Interpreting the dream may depend on your current life circumstances, emotions, and experiences. Reflecting on how you felt during the dream and any specific foods involved can provide further insights.

    Just for info
