A stubby-tailed bird sat on the wall,
Upon my gaze, beautiful birds did call
They took flight, I thought they were scared,
Yet the next day, their chatter declared:
My presence brought a slight disturbance,
In their world, I was an uninvited presence

I hid myself to see their courtship dance
At my terrace garden, shed plant leaves,
Spread like a carpet beneath the soft sky.
With fluttering wings and sweet chirping sounds,
They danced in a circle, as time drifted by
Their beauty blended with morning glow

They could not see me, thought my terrace their kingdom
Jumping on lotus leaves, playing with glistening water
With each joyful splash, showering at each other

After delightful play, they flew to my
Mulberry plant, feasting in the soft light
    Such pure delight to see lovebirds together;
I could imagine them, as if a couple in a restaurant,
Drinking with one cool drink and two straws, hearts in flight

Finally, it’s time to say goodbye,
No sadness lingered as they took to the sky,They flew back with hope they would meet again tomorrow,In the dance of the garden, free from all sorrow

Such mesmerizing moments of nature’s love,I could capture with my eyes, a treasure to hold.
I could weave them in verses, which has become a tender love story in the garden of lovebirds.

Such an enchanting poem. joyful splash showering at each other has been imitated by one cool drink and two straws.I hope they will continue this intimacy when they become old.

The verses above establishes the percipient R.Malliswary driven by her to be a poet or Lyricist.
Mere read with power of comprehension the above verses, one would like to be yearning to be a bird in her garden with verdant sprawling green lawn. while partner bird is busy discovering the food from nearby paddy fields ( or making money) the young bird sings kora kalai tha yhe man mera.... When stomach is full, it is time for siesta in day or rest in night and then...no need to describe here...it is all packed in your above verses.
Hats off to your choice of words in this short and sweet poetry that impels contemplation.
    Regards.
    God Bless
