The First Civic Budget of Gurgaon

    The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) presented its first budget on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, for 2010-2011. This first civic buget of Gurgaon was presented after nearly two years of the inception of the MCG in June 2008.

    Rajesh Khullar, the MCG Commisioner said, an income of Rs 493.46 crore was proposed for the financial year. The projected expenditure stood at Rs 407.30 crore.
    This includes the Rs 300 crore that will be collected as property tax which will constitute of both residential and commercial taxes. Rs 130 crore will be collected as stamp duty, Rs 10 crore as advertisement tax and Rs 20 crore as fire tax.
