The motto is 'What is in it for me?'. Arms sales are important for the economy of certain countries, and they will expect other nations to fight among themselves. The gun lobby is an example.
In the same way, the majority dictates the rules and the minority has to adapt. Personal interest counts.

    Dear Shri Thyagarajan,
My limited point is we talk of secularism outside India only where we are in the minority. In India, we are in the majority and therefore we have every right to forget the word secularism.

    Sorry. This is wrong information.
Majority of The Hindus living in USA have same secularism sentiments as you sir.
I have commented with them in many Expats group.
The same comment, "Minorities are discriminated in India by bjp govt"
When i question them on waqf board and other points I have mentioned earlier, they just go silent or change the topic.

What is your goal here mr @HariLakhera . You sound like one sadistic passive aggressive person, who post such open ended statements to create anxiety and stress among members for no reason.

and for your information. america or any other country is not as secular as you are portraying. please stop such threads.

It looks like this snippet has not been taken positively -which is the life of double standards we live, but I am certainly not a "sadistic passive aggressive person" and my hundreds of snippets in IL will prove that. Yes, I like to be seen outside, what I am inside.
Politically, no country is secular. But as apolitical humans, we can try to be tolerant and secular.

PS: The snippet may be deleted if found offensive in any way. I tried to do that but looks it is too late.
