    Hi Sri,

Thanks for your stepping in my dear friend. Even I have seen a couple selling in the train where one is partially blind and the other is totally blind. God please bless them with good life is all that I can ask for.

    Mals

That was a touching story. having travelled by the local trains in mumbai I've seen plenty of such kids. It is sad that they have to work. I firmly believe education is the way out of poverty and support organisations such as CRY that work with street kids to give them a better life. From my personal experience, my mom used to help educate our servants daughter (even we used to pitch in to teach her english and maths) and today she is working with Godrej as a secretary and has a great husband and family. If she wasn't educated she would have ended up being a servant too.

    Hi Mals,

You have really brought out well...how these kids fend for their living.

A decade back when i used to travel by train, even i used to pick up things from them whether i use it or not...atleast it encourages them to work and not beg or get it into anything otherwise.

    Great going.

    Warm regards
    Roopa.

    Hi Mythraeyi,

That was a real good gesture. Very people are interested in having a good life. Most of them seem to be happy with what they have. I tried educating my maid, but, finally she would end up watching TV serials and singing songs all the time. Yes, she picked up English words and we could speak to her in English though she would answer in Hindi. That change is all I could bring in her. Thanks dearie...
