Ravindra Jain was a well known music composer born to a Sanskrit scholar at Aligarh. He was totally blind. He was an extremely pious Jain. Maestro Ravindra Jain received several awards and recognition for his musical masterpieces which includes - prestigious "Filmfare award", "Sahitya Academy Award " , "Dada Sahib Phalke" , " Sur Singar", Lata Mangeshkar (Madhya Pradesh And Maharashtra Government), Amir Khusro, Swami Haridas, Priyadarshini, Sangeet Gyaneshwar and Sangeet Samrat award to name a few.
Among his most popular films are Chitchor and Geet Ghata Chal. It featured Sarika as the heroine. Remember her? She was the former wife of Kamal Hassan and they had two daughters Shruti Hassan and Akshaya Hassan.

Thank you for starting threads of music celebrities. I want to add one more interesting thing related to Ravindra Jain. Ravindra Jain was so much fascinated by K.J Yesudas's voice and if he ever received his vision, Yesudas would be the first person he would want to see.
My favorite songs from their combination are "Gori thera gaav bada pyara", "jab deep jale aaana" and. Aaj se pehle aaj se".

@Cheeniya Sir, first Nazia Hassan and now Ravindra Jain. Your taste in music is eclectic, and if I might say so, excellent! One of my favorite Ravindra Jain compositions is this one sung by Yesudas.

The lyrics were written by Ravindra Jain himself. Beautiful writing and composition.
