    The affection between two sisters is really great. That too when there is not
    much difference between them in theirage and they grow up together.
    Some are so close that there is no secret between them. But u can find
    some sisters who act like enemies also. They cant see the other sister
    flourishing, whereas the sisters who are close to each other are happy that
    atleast the other sister is enjoying life. Myself and my sister have been very close to each other. She is very religious and always thinking of God,whereas I think of God and also interested in going out and enjoying life. When we were young I used to
    maskafy my granny and take my sister and go out. In my younger days they
    wont allow young girls to go out after it becomes dark. Now a days even at
    11 or 12 p.m girls come alone espectially in Mumbai. When my sister got
    married I cried a lot. After her marriage I was left alone. She got married and
    went to Delhi. We used to write letters to each other and keep contact.
    Those days people did not have phone facility. I think for my sake only
    call to Delhi is made local. So I phone my sister everyday. Her son and
    daughter in law are staying with her and two grandchildren are there. So she is
    always busy. In my case me and my husband are there so I am free.

    Dear Viji,
    sometimes the sisters are at loggerheads. One cause is the parents themselves. Comparisons creates a rift jealousy which is carried forward for years to come.

    When the age gap is less they become very close to each othr. Age difference makes the elder one to tendenct to mother the sister. kanaka

    Definitely the affection between two sisters is more than a million dollar gift.I enjoy the gift.I have two sisters ,i am the last and we were all of equal age group(2 yrs diff betn us).The happiness when we sisters unite and talk is something incomparable to anything else.

    Dear Vija mam,

    Your wonderful post reminds me of my sisters. We are three of us.Though we are frequently in touch,we havenot met for quite some time now.When we meet we have a blast and our parents have a headache. There are no secrets between us as you say and we are best friends.

    It is a wonderful of you to write about your sister.Long live all sisters!!!!

    Wonderful post on the love of two sisters.

    Wish everybody are like that.............. though I do not have sisters but seeing both my daughters fighting (sibling rivarly) just hope some sense prevails on them and they too become like this.

    nothing to worry...that is their way of bonding maybe..hahaha..just send one of them on a school camp or something and see how the other one misses her sis...besides the actual sharing and companionship starts only after they enter their teens...then they will have lots to tell each other and u will start missing all those fights...

    You are right about sisters...I too have a sister...elder to me ....We can discuss with each other all topics under the sun....Now any amount of time spend together seems not enough to talk.
    (In fact, the same is with my younger brother......he will join us in our fun).

    Dear lalitha...

    I agree with Mindian..it may be a way of bonding....
    My sisters kids...(a daughter and a son who are around 10 yrs of age) will have all little little fights often...My sis has to shout or scold to stop them...But ..when they are alone, the boy will lovingly call the sis.."Akka" (which is rare when they fight) and both will be giggling away, making fun of their friends or classmates....and laughing for not-so-funny jokes...I enjoy secretly watching it....And they miss each other, if one goes out without the other....
