    I too will admit that I enjoyed reading The Palace of Illusions. Although the book is based on the most famous Indian epic, just the feminine perspective has made the book an interesting read.

    I will be re-reading this one sometime later at a more leisurely pace.

    It's time to put your reading to the test ILites. How well have you read The Palace of Illusions?

    1. What are the three prophecies given to Draupadi by the sage in the forest?
    2. How does Panchaali who marries Arjun, end up as the wife to all the Pandava brothers?
    3. Let's "change the course of history". If Panchaali had married Karna what would have been the consquences? Would it have saved the Great war from happening?
    4. How is Duryodhan humiliated in The Palace of Illusions?
    5. What gift is given to Panchaali just before the war?

    Hi @Sahana1 thank you for your enthusiasm, yes as you have mentioned we are almost at the last week of the contest.

    We will start our regular book clubs next month and of course a contest or two sometime later. Just subscribe to the Book lovers forum so you can stay updated about any such activities.

    That was a lovely book ....The spellbound narration of the author makes you feel to see Mahabharatham from a woman's perspective...Thanks fellow ILlites and Mods for this book...i too have planned to re read this book when time permits...

    Nowadays very busy with kids and to this long weekend (4days holidays). So going out with my kids so not able to participate. But when ever i gets time i am reading the book.

    JZ finished the book ... wl send the answers soon now ... what a wonderful book ... i had always thought draupadi was more ornamental ... tho i knew of the prophesy abt her gonna change the course of the history part .. but this book was an eyeopener .. too good .. :)
