The ‘75 Hard’ Challenge

    Sorry- I haven't updated since the challenge started.

    July 6-
    Exercise- Ran 3 miles + 45 minutes Martial Arts (in the evening)
    Drinking enough water as always ( I don't measure but I would say ~2-3 L)
    Meals- Three meals. Breakfast was oats. Lunch will be a mushroom curry and bread.
    Sleep- 7 h
    Reading- So far this morning, Read two research papers (does it count :)), will be reading 1h to my daughter at night, and a half an hour reading of "A Promised Land" by Barack Obama.

    #1 checked- tried a new Vegan restaurant in town!

    #2 checked- Reading a book in the sun is a weekend activity!

    #4 checked- Made my mom's recipe of bhindi (okra).

    Day 4 - 6th July

    1) warm up + Surya Namaskar (9 rounds) - done
    2) 8 Walking 30 mins(@ 5pm) - done
    3) Drinking 3 litres of water(hot water twice a day) - done
    4) Have atleast 2 fruits a day - done(1 guava,1 banana)
    5) 8 hrs of proper sleep(if not continuous 6 hrs in night and 2 hrs in mid morning) - done - 8 hrs

    Thank goodness the long weekend is behind us! I am a creature of habit and I like some routine - the long weekned threw me off with some family and friends visiting and that gym closing!!! Phew....glad to be back to somewhat of a routine.

    July 8-

    1. I finally took a picture this morning!
    2. Ran for 1 h in the morning. Will be doing Martial arts in the evening for 45 minutes.
    3. Drinking enough water. Cutting back on coffee hasn't worked out yet!
    4. Read for 20 minutes in the morning (non-fiction). Will be reading more at night.
    5. Breakfast- Banana with peanut butter, Lunch- Salad with dates and nuts, Dinner- don't know yet but possibly a vegetable curry and homemade naan.

    One third of the way through the challenge. Really wanted to take a mental health day today but decided to take an extra walk instead. The thought of having to start again was traumatic enough to make me step out for a late evening walk. Glad the day is done!
