Forget your own unhappiness by creating a little happiness for others….Because when you are good to others, you are best to yourself.

Happiness is bringing a smile on everyone's face. Its thinking good of others. Sharing with others whatever good thinks we know. Being friendly with everyone and to give them surprises. Making them happy by doing something good. Giving the needy what they require and making them happy

Today is Kuchelar Dinam. Latharam had posted here about the significance of today http://www.indusladies.com/forums/s...3006-2980-2969-3021-a.html#post1565784.Though I knew about Kuchelar story I did not know that we have to do aval and vellam neivadhyam. thanks to her. I did neivedhyam and will be going for Narayaneeyam and praying for the health and prosperity of everyone now and in the coming year.

Everyone is saying that the world is coming to an end on 21st December . In the beginning only people said 2012 is not a good year. For us it was a good and bad year. Good that we could go to Kerala and visit Navagraha temples and other temples when we went to Chennai and my dream of meeting my dear Anna Cheeniya Sir came true. But healthwise from the starting of the year I had problems and also my dh had operation for Gall bladder when I was so much worried but by God's grace and elder's blessings and because of his goodthings he had done he is ok now and since three weeks we have been getting opportunity to go to Ayyappa and Rudra and Bhajans in different places. It shows that nothing is in our hands and if we have trust in God , He will show the path and do good.

When you are content to be simply yourself and don’t compare or compete, everybody will respect you. ~ Lao Tzu

It is a fact, that, most of the things that we desire in life are expensive, But truth is that the things that really satisfy us are absolutely free : love, joy and laughter – isn’t it?

    Its very true Viji mam.
Really a nice writeup. And my day begun very well.
According to Bhagavatham, we need to divide our earnings and one portion of it should go to charity. We neednt go to any particular places or particular ppl to... we can find soo many opportunities to give away.
You are also doing one such activity by giving your knowledge to us and enriching our lives.

    Thank you soo much.
    Sandhya.

Nice post with a fantastic last line Viji Madam. Enjoyed reading it.

The things that I always loved to have
Aren't loved by me after acquiring them.
I just wondered why I have not saved
The joy of that moment when I had them.

Thinking more I found out that
    My desire kept shifting from
One to other from the start
    Leaving me in worried form.

Then I questioned myself a bit.
Why should I trade my happiness
On such things which are not fit?
Isn't it just a sheer madness?

It is the state of the mind that is
    More important than acquiring these.
If I am happy and feel at ease,
These things will then cease to please.
