Hi friends, can you suggest some institute that trains in testing/QA for beginners? Any reliable institute that gives training to people from non-technical background. Are there any pre-requisites to do a software testing course? Thanks
Hi Nithya001, There are many institutes in Bangalore for testing ,I finished my testing course in Cegonsoft ,but not happy with it...initially I shopped around many insitutes and finalised with cegonsoft. They say even placement will be done once we finish course and take a exam with the result above 65%. For our batch after 1 month different faculty was put up and we were not happy. So better get some more peoples reviews and join better institute . I wish u good luck NAYA
Naya, do these institutes have any prerequisites that the candidate should have a computer science or engineering degree? I was looking at STAG Bangalore's STEP program. They mentioned that engineering graduates are preferred, also they have a test for enrolling in the course. Did you have an engineering degree when you enrolled for the course?
Yup! have my undergrad as B.E (E&E). Cegonsoft don't have any enrolling tests .they just want the course fee to be paid. I never heard of STAG other wise would have checked before.
Hey.... please join qspiders... Its India's best Software testing institution,,, Trust me... google out for qspiderinfo. Admin Note: No external links allowed here.
there is no prerequistes to do a software testing course. you can actually study yourself . i went to outputtech where they guided me towards this and good training sessions. honestly i did not expect that from the institute but went there with an idea to study on my own and apply but they really did a good job and best part is i got thru an interview with what exactly was guided by them to clear the interview
Thirum can you tell me more how can one do self-study for testing? What kind of training sessions did the institute provide? Does one reuire programming knowledge for doing a testing course(I was told that one should have knowledge of at least one programming language)?
