Oats dosa: Ingredients: Oats-1 Cup All purpose flour-2tsp Cumin Seeds-1/2 teaspoon Green Chillies-2 Salt to taste Method: Grind the oats in a mixer to a nice powder(you can roast the oats and then fry...but I just grind directly).Take the ground oats powder in a bowl and add jeera, salt and water and all purpose flour and mix well. Make sure it is like thin consistency like rava dosa.To this add chopped green chillies, curry leaves, grated carrort and mix well. Heat a tawa, and when the tawa is sizzling hot, pour the batter on tawa like we do for rava dosa.Pour litte bit of oil(1/2 tsp) and keep the flame low and allow the dosa to fry on one side. Then gently turn it other side and cook the dosa till it becomes crisp. Remove the crispy oats dosa from tawa. You can eat this with any chutney or sambar too.yumsmiley
The recipe I mentioned above, will have exact taste as the ones we do with the Cow's milk after calf birth.. Without egg,my friend told me that ,we can do with curd...But I have not tried myself though..here is the recipe,if you want to try: Sweetened condensed milk-1can fresh curd-1cup milk-1 cup Sugar-1/2 cup or to taste can use brown sugar. cardamom powder-2tsp pepper powder-2 tsp Mix condensed milk and yogurt and to that mixture add warm milk, add sugar to taste and add cardamom and pepper powders and follow the same cooking procedure mentioned as above. let me know how it comes out.

Check both nuvvulu podi and groundnut podi in this thread - both are suitable for annam + ghee This is kandi podi !!! Take 1 cup kandi pappu - tur dal - dry roast in kadai till you get the roasted smell or microwave for 2 minutes 7-10 red chiilies depending on how spicy you like it - if it is for kids, use only 1-2 red chillies 1 tsp salt Dry grind the chillies and salt first, then add the dal. And run the mixie - keep the podi a little bit rough Store in airtight container! Mix with hot steaming rice + 1 tsp ghee and enjoy with a sour spicy pulusu or rasam or with just chopped onions. If you're making for kids, you can reduce the dal and dry roast 6-7 cashews, 7-10 badam, pista, handful of melon seeds and sunflower seeds, and musk melon seeds Add walnuts if you like !!! A very good way for kids to get good fats for brain development from the dry nuts and seeds I even add a tbsp of til and groundnuts to the mix! Try different combinations. Usually, my DH wont prefer dal in night - so I make rasam or pulusu or magigapulusu for night, so I'll mix this above podi with rice for my son - extra protein and good fats for the brain!!! And oh so tasty !!! But you have to add ghee or oil to the rice mix - else it becomes difficult to swallow ! Whenever my brother used to travel to places like China (We are pure veg - no egg, no meat, no fish, not even mushrooms ) - he would take these podis with him and survive on just cooked/steamed rice - just buy a small electric cooker and rice
