Hugs to you. Pl dont blame yourself. You are trying your best to help her. One suggestion, may not be important, still, consider having a blood work, including thyroid. Just to make sure that she dont have any issues or deficiencies including vitamine D. Also, her gut health is good as gut- brain axis link is strong. This is to make sure she is physically ok, gut flora good ( have probiotics) and have neutrients to face current issue.Try meditation or relaxation. Is it a good idea to seek help of childrens counsellers to help her open up. Explore/ read more.
Its always better to go deep into the root issue. Hope you find a solution and every thing will be back to normal soon.

I will just tell you one thing- your teen is so lucky to have such an understanding parent who senses something wrong instead of blaming the irritability on hormones and cares enough to do whatever it takes to come out of the situation. Stay strong for your daughter. She needs you now more than ever.

And last but not the least, depression does not have to need a reason. You can have everything in the world and yet suddenly wake up feeling depressed one fine day.

Let your teenager know everyday that she is very much loved and can share anything with you whenever she is ready without any judgement.

    Take care.
