Dear Pushpa,
Ienjoyed reading the proverbs.Iread a few ,saving for aftrnoon.
My mil and my mother could not talk a few sentences without proverbs.Hav eyou seen the film,'mann vasanai' the actor kanthimathi cvomes as the grand mothe r and the way she delivers her dialogues full of proverbs ,are the scenes I enjoyed in the movie.
Thanks for sharing these wonderful treasure our elders have left behind for us.

"I have not seen MaNn vaasanai" But when ever some one quoted a proverb, I made it a point to note it down mentally. Just two years before, after I got my computer, I compiled them The sme way it was my habit to collect great mens' " quotable quotes," and Points to Ponder," from Readers Digest.Glad to hear that you enjoyed reading them.
