    Dear RGS,

Even when you turn to prose

    Expressing your innermost thought
    Without saying it goes
Admired you are even when not sought

    Balajee's ministers did disappoint me

    Where's our world heading
Your folk was another cup of tea

    Feed backs equally interesting

    RGS, we need no ministers

    Surrounded with sincere workers

Thanking them is left to us

    If hardwork we can recognize

When it comes to you I must say

With verses I want to play
You have shown me almost every day

Poems can make you swing and sway!

    And congratulations by the way

Nominated to FP you stay!! :thumbsup

    L, Kamla

Very many thanks Kamla Madam, for a fabulous feedback. If I could induce someone to come up with verses like this, I consider myself as a winner. :)

Besides, getting nominated is always a surprise which happens when I least expect. Thanks to Syamala, OutOfTheBox and Yumna for that. At times I feel that the ones that moved me so much while writing, gets a very little notice too. Fine. I am glad to accept things as they are. And agree that I need to write better and expect lesser. -rgs

    Dear RG,
How right you are that we take everything for granted. We keep all the lights and fans on u8ntil tragedy strikes in the shape of powercut for a few hours. We keep the tap on while brushing and change our behaviour when the motor pump in the complex fails in the morning. We dont feel happy with what we have but grumble about what we dont have.Talking of the news paper boy,an 80 year old president of the complex introduced a new rule that news paper boys should not use the lift. This gentleman had to eat a humble pie when the residents blocked his apartment and did not allow him to come out for 2 hours. The role of news paper boy in ourgood frame of mind and consequent well being was brought home effectively on that day.

Very glad to receive your feedback and time, LakshmiNarayanan Sir. And yes, the simple things which go unnoticed. may stall us if they don't happen. You took this to a higher level, where you rightly pointed out our wasting of resources and cribbing about them later. And, about that silly rule - yes. What they all did was quite correct.
A rule thats not friendly to the larger good
May not be in force for a period good.

    Et tu, Kamla?
RGS has a magic potion in two shades
The blue turns words into poetry
The green keeps them in prose grade
And for me it is a far cry!

    I am now broken hearted
That my eloquent partner in prose
    Has ditched me and belted
A poem that has made me morose!

Why can’t Kamla be a Kamla
    And stop springing such surprises
    As the South African Amla
    By denting the partner’s enterprise?

If the poetry bug bites me too
The readers will start tearing their hair
Now you know the reason for my et tu
Pray, let us keep to our known flair!

    Sri:cry:

    Cheeniya Sir,

Your response above to Kamla Madam made me laugh like that.
While I enjoyed your prose, I admire your poetry skill too, targeting and impacting many of us in just a few words. Very glad to receive this feedback. :thumbsup

Very true Rgs, we take many things for granted and as we did not develop that habit of saying 'thank you' ( i really appreciate this manners found in the Western countries) immediately after their service, we are indebted to them.
When the power was out for nearly 32 hours, with snow around..my son was complaining a lot, even though we complained nonetheless. But after the power came out, I told my son,( and I am also learning in this area) to thank those people who made this happen amidst the severe weather, which all of us did along with him.

We are inter-dependent on each other..no matter what, isn't it! :)

Yes Sriniketan. You are absolutely right. Being interdependent, we can't afford to lose anyone.
And yes, those people who do the essential service are the ones that need to be thanked and recognized.
Thanks very much for your nice feedback.
