    SWEETNESS
    OF
    AGEING
Old age is sweet though often I hear someone call me spent Force!

    On to the specials
With white hair without hair dye
If there is, in places to go
The respect you get is unique.

Come to think of it, the things that usually remind us of getting older are:

    • When entering a special house, even if it is crowded, someone gives us a seat.

    • grandfather of young children, When calling grandpa.

    • Why is uncle white haired? When middle-aged women talk about whether they can dye or not.

    • When the adults look at us as if they are going to eat first after throwing the ball.

    • The second serving in the ball will not come if you see us. When he doesn't ask where he is going to eat more.

    • At the coffee stall, when you ask if you can add sugar.

    • When elders ask us to tell them if we have forgotten something.

    • When we go to bless the bridegroom, the bride and the groom suddenly touch our feet and ask us to bow.

    • While talking to friends of our age, Sadakopan went to Sendu, when Asiriri asks who is next.

    • When we don't take our choice in jewelry, textile shop.

    • As soon as we see the paper ad that the Lord has joined us, we look at the date of birth and death and compare it with our age.
When the auto driver asks what is the big deal, Veetle said.
    • After eating a little too much,When looking for digene pill.

    • Walking distanceWhen it gradually decreases.Once up the stairs, while breathing.

    • When we are treated like aliens if we order pizza at home.
    • Even if you cough a little, when you are advised not to eat everything you see.
    • When the Gita preaches that if you watch too much TV for a while, go and sleep, that's enough, it won't agree.
    • We have to take care of our body. When asking for general health tips, don't disturb the monks.
    • When we look at our face in the mirror.
    • Let's go on saying.sweet sweet; Old age is sweet..

An exhaustive monograph on the sweet old age.Old age is identified with breath becoming shorter and anecdotes becoming longer. Lewis caroll,s poem "you are old father william"- Father william demonstrates great playfulness and vitality and this the poem suggests better than a bunch of sombre little advice.Being playful inspite of aching bones and rumbling stomach makes life enjoyable and easier for your care takers.

    Dear Sir,

    Nice writing on old age.

I really don't know if old age in a curse or blessing. My father is 92 and I feel very sad when I see him. Thanks to God he has no health issues.

    His walk has slowed down.

He has seen many young people dying which has been very hard. COVID was really hard on him. Hearing about his children and grandchildren sicknesses worries him greatly.

That often makes me think, one should never live that long. Not in our hand I know.

    Regards
    Uma

Thanks for your being here that accompanied thought provoking comments. As long as people are healthy, and not a burden to others let the live long. In cases where senility has set in, it causes concern in which case they should be allowed to go outdoor only with escort.

The worst thing is the obituary columns in News Paper. Mind tend to compare and find a kind of solace or become perturbed.i suggest the sheet containing that kind of messages ought to be removed from old men’s purview.
    Regards.

    I agree very much here.
Once I suggested to the editor of Thd Hindu that all ads and classifieds including obituary be separated from main news pages and the former be made available as a separate pull out. Deaths are always conveyed by word of mouth as in this internet and satellite tv era people rarely read news paper. In NYT daily pages runs to 100 and immediately after purchase, readers pull out only the pages that they desire to read and keep and rest being bulky are left with vending machine or vendors. I mentioned about this too the hindu. I even suggested to the Hindu that only old men retired men read paper these days and so it must be senior citizen friendly.
I see only sports pages first as it carries more winning news. Then I switch to the edit page to hv a glance. I love to read events well analysed and incisive articles by
    Suhasini Haidar
Journalist ‧ Subramanian Swamy's daughter in the Hindu.
