    Dear Ilites,

I recently introduced Suryanamaskaram in to my fitness regime, As you all know doing Right and Left considers 1 set. I always fail to remeber whether I have done Right side or Left side. Because of this I endup doing mores on one side.

Can anyone give me some tip how to remember the Right and Left sides ? Also my skin is cracking under the Thumb finger of my feet once I start Suryanamskaram, and it pains while doing the Namaskar. Is this Normal ? Any tips to reduce this?

    Appreciate your Help.

Keep a coin on the side you are starting. When done, move the coin to the other side.

Try switching finger ring for the side you are doing. If you are using a proper yoga mat it should help

Using Vaseline(petroleum jelly) overnight on the affected area will heal it over a period of time. You can try non-skid socks with thick bottom to help until it heals

    Dear Swasha,

as for the pain, I would urge you to focus on where you put your weight while doing the namaskars. You might be leaning on this big toe without knowing and that could be the reason for both the pain and even the cracking too. Gently with awareness shift your weight so that your entire foot takes it and it shoudl get better.
