    @Swasha and @pman16, you gals are too generous. In traditional ashtanga studios, these SNs (5 of each) are kind of mandatory to do before the asana practice begins. It prepares both your body and mind well for the asana class. I learnt only Ahstanga way of yoga and I like it that way and do not switch much around. I have miles and miles to go and can only do so much! Though I attend classes and even conduct classes, I realize I need motivation to do my every day practice. That is why I am with you girls here. Any help I can provide, I will be happy to and I am grateful for all the motivation you give me. Thank you.

    @Swasha,

    My first instinctive answer is no. I do know of many people who take sips in between their practice especially if it is an hour or more practice. Even then it is not ok :( I don't know how long you take but hydrate your self before your practice at least a half hour before.
