The mystery that surrounded superstar Rajini Kanth?s next project and Shankar?s Robot has finally been divulged with production houses Ayngaran International and Eros Multimedia officially announcing that the superstar will star in their next production venture. The project, Robot, will mean that the trio Rajini-Shankar-Rahman will join hands yet again to recreate the Sivaji magic. Robot has earlier been in the verge of commencement with Shah Rukh in the lead, however, it died a natural death with opinion differences cropping between Shankar and the Bollywood Badshah. Robot, the producers claim, is a mammoth venture and will be produced in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and other regional languages. Shankar is said to be finalizing technicians for the visual effects extravaganza, the official announcement of which will be out soon. As for the superstar, news from reliable sources state that he will feature in a short-duration project produced by Balachander?s Kavithalaya pictures and directed by P. With news channels across the country flashing information that superstar Rajini Kanth?s next project will be Shankar?s Robot, here comes the surprise news of all. He will be seen in a film for his mentor K. Balachander?s banner, Kavithalaya films. The film is to be directed by P.Vasu who last teamed up with the star for the blockbuster Chandramukhi. The superstar will have a leading Bollywood actress playing his heroine in this film. Both the producer and the director have not come out officially with this news but sources close to them say that an official announcement will be made on the 14th of January. The announcement will be made by K. Balachander and as most of Rajini?s fans were expecting, nothing much would be revealed by the star on the Silver jubilee celebrations of Sivaji on the 11th of this month. Alas! 'Robot' Name will be changed Director Shankar, who is set to make the biggest movie in Indian history, informed that the title of the mega project featuring the superstar Rajinikanth would be changed in due course. He informed this while talking about the film in an interview given to a TV channel on the eve of Pongal festival. The film will be the richest movie in terms of special effects. The special effects will be the highlights of the science fiction movie, informed the director. According to him, the work for the special effects would require much time, almost equal to that of making a film. Ash in Robot It is almost certain that India’s most sought after actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has signed the mega movie ‘Robot' directed by Shankar. Aishwarya Rai will play the lead role as the pair to India’s biggest superstar Rajinikanth. Sources from Mumbai say that the deal was struck by yesterday (January 23) noon. It is said that Aishwarya would be paid a whopping amount of Rs 1.5 crore for the film. The amount, it confirmed, will be the highest salary received by an actress in India.
