Hi nuss..people automatically assume I work. I have actually asked them why they are so surprised to find me a homemaker. For that some said the way I portray myself . They feel since I dress smart,talk well and appear fit..the assumption is automatic.Honestly,I find that judgmental.What is the connection between looking smart and a homemaker or a career woman? many a times,I don’t get asked what I do but directly asked what do I work as or where do I work. Again it’s not that I may never work or I will work but I want to do it when I want to.
What does dressing smart means ? Can you provide some information about your wardrobe. I’m curious because I want to dress up smart .
In my case,it is dressing neat and with the right fittings and I do pedi and manicure once in two weeks,always combed hair even when am home.simple things which makes a difference
How is your social life ? What is your day to day activities? How do you spend time with husband ? Not the vacations just day to day life
Day to day life is three days cooking,cleaning,weekly once grocery and other misc activities,laundary,cleaning home,some movies,gym,yoga,kid activities and reading books with them.I enjoy all of the above though fortunately or unfortunately.with hubby it is mostly weekends only but married for 15 years and so though we love each other,we don’t sit and talk 24/7 but we do have fights,laughs,teasing regular stuff
Maybe you are in defensive mind set because of your childhood bullying that is making you sensitive . Have you considered therapy for your childhood problems?
I do agree with u..it took many years to break out of that shell.Hubby is seeking a counselor but all appointments seem to take months with good docs.We are researching anyways
