    Hi all,

The weather is warming up and my toddler gets to play outside most of the time in the sun. I tried coppertone waterbabies and aveeno baby but she broke out in both of these. Which is the best sunscreen to use on her. please help.

    Thanks
    dolly

    Hi Dolly,

Here is a link to the environmental working groups list of the best sunscreens and where to buy them. Many department store sunscreens contain carcinogenic ingredients so be very careful while making a choice especially for a child. The EWG gives a rating to each sunscreen from 0 -10. The ones that have 0 are the best and most recommended.

    EWG Sunscreen list

I use this one for my son. It is a little too thick but that is small price to pay for a safe product.

    Gauri,

Thanks for the link. I finally got her cvs brand sunscreen with zinc oxide with rating 2. I tested on her inner arm and thankfully she has not developed any rashes.

    OOPALL,

when i checked with her pedi, i was suggested to test it & use it, not any specific brand suggestion. I guess any zinc oxide or titanium di oxide is fine as they are physically blocking UV rays.
