I see a lot of reviews for RC's books. So, I thought I would add reviews for books by other authors.

    Author: KJ
    Novel: Anandam Adi Anandhi
    Synopsis:
Anandan lives in a village with his mother, 2 sisters and his brother. His parents were not good with money and hence Anandan took over their farms and business at age 18. He becomes the head of the family after his father's death and everyone accepts to his authority. He decides to marry Sudhangi since she is also rich. Sudhangi visits his home and she slowly starts to take control over the house. His mother and sisters dont like it, but they are not used to complaining to Anandan.

Anandhi is his uncle's daughter. She lives in London and she comes to Anandan's house for a visit. She is an outgoing, beautiful, matured and friendly girl. She becomes quick friends with his two sisters. Anandan is a little taken aback by her independence, but quickly sees that she can handle things well. After various incidents and issues in his family, he likes Anandhi's positive approach and dislikes Sudhangi's shallowness. In the end, Anandan falls in love with Anandhi and they get married.

Rating: Good! I really like the strong female lead character, even though she sounds too good. The story clearly builds up the scenarios where love blossoms. It is not one of those love at first sight, conflicts because the people are not saying what they should have said type of story.

    Author: Uma Balakumar
    Novel: Unnai ponnena kanda pozhuthinilae
    Synopsis:
Hamsadhvani is a software engineer who goes to Singapore for a 6 month project. There she meets Prajan as her boss. He is a tamilian settled in Singapore. His father is tamil while his mother is chinese. Prajan falls in love with her and after some courtship she agrees to marry him. She becomes close with Prajan's mother as well. After 6 months, both of them return to India to break the news to her parents. Her parents agree to the marraige after some struggle. Prajan returns to Singapore and he dies in Indonesia when the Tsunami hits.
Hamsadhvani decides to never marry and she adopts a boy and names him as Prajan. She has trouble from other men in her office and she befriends Bharani who helps with these issues. One day her company's owner introduces his son Ashvanth who will take over the company.
Ashvanth looks exactly as Prajan, including the scar he got in an accident. She tries to talk to him, but he thinks she is cheap and trying to catch a rich guy. The rest of the story is the conflict between Ashvanth and her, the connection between Ashvanth and Prajan, and how he finally accepts her.

    Rating: Average.

Review: There are many holes in the logic. The biggest one is, a man finds his son Ashvanth has died in Tsunami. When he finds Prajan who has lost his memory, he brings Prajan home as Ashvanth. He says that their son needed a little plastic surgery, so looks different. I cannot believe that even the mother did not know that Prajan is not her son. Secondly, when Hamsadhvani sees Prajan as Ashvanth, her first words are I love you. This is the main reason Ashvanth does not trust her and source of all conflicts. Again, this is not the normal response when one sees someone believed to be dead.

    Novel: Enakkagave Nee
Synopsis: Divya lives with her periappa's family. Her mother had died when she was born and her dad moved to US and settled there. Her periyamma and periyappa take very good care of her. In fact they are always praising Divya instead of their own daughter Prabha. Divya is engaged to her boss Manoranjan while Prabha is going to marry some other guy. Prabha once had an affair with a painter and had written him a racy letter but he was now blackmailing her. Prabha convinces Divya to to steal the letter back.
Divya goes to steal the letter at night and nothing goes per plan. She meets a guy there who helps save her and retrieve the letter. This guy, Sadhanand, thinks Divya had written the letter. He is Divya's fiance' friend and he doesn't want his friend to marry such a girl. He now takes the letter and blackmails her to break the engagement. Prabha doesn't want to help and Divya ends up breaking the engagement. This causes a rift in the family and she also loses her job (as she was engaged to her boss).
Sadhanand realizes Prabha was the actual writer of the letter. But he continues to blackmail Divya, threatening her that he would send the letter to Prabha's husband. He also gives her a good offer - asks her to marry him by name only and that he would pay her. He has custody of his friends son, and there is a legal need to prove that he can care for that boy.
Divya accepts the proposal and goes with him to kerala. The story goes from there about the relationship between Divya and Sadhanand, confusions caused by Vinothini (Sadhanand's family friend), Manoranjan and how they finally fall in love.

Pranathi calls, but dials an incorrect number, and it is picked up by Akash. Akash is a young industrialist with a successful software company. He is intrigued by the voice on the phone, but while he is thinking who this Pranathi was, she quickly disconnects because her parents are back. Few days later, she calls Akash's number again and he realizes that it is a wrong number. But he likes the voice and simply answers her questions. Good thinking Twinkle! I think all the famous RC novels are written up there. So, perhaps we should use this thread to write summaries for novels by other authors.

    Novel: Velli Nila Mutrathilae
    Author: JS
    Summary:
The story starts in the court where Parthasarathy has filed a law suit against Mekala, saying that she cheated him into buying a property for her.
Sarathy works in the US and had come to India to attend his friend's wedding. He meets Mekala in the wedding and he is very attracted to her. Mekala's grandmother is the head of the family and she is very money minded. She thinks that Sarathy is a great catch and encourages Mekala to have a relationship with Sarathy. He gets royal treatment whenever he goes to her house. They fall in love and decide to marry.
Mekala's sister SriKala is total opposite of Mekala. She thinks Sarathy is a decent guy and doesn't like the way he is being conned, but she simply stays out of their way.
Sarathy's parents find out that Mekala and her grandmother have a bad reputation. So, instead of saying that, they ask Mekala's family to give a house as dowry. Sarathy is shocked, but then he buys a house in Mekala's name. But after that, things happen that make Sarathy wonder if Mekala was the right choice.
In the meantime, Mekala meets Rathinaswamy, who they think is very rich. Her grandmother brainwashes Mekala to marry Rathinaswamy. Sarathy feels cheated and files a law suit. He says that he bought the house as a pre-wedding gift, but they refuse to return it. Finally Srikala appears on court and confirms that the house was indeed a pre-wedding gift. This results in Srikala leaving the house.
Sarathy's friend convinces everyone that Sarathy is depressed and is better to get him married. He thinks Srikala is the best choice and guesses that Srikala likes Sarathy. Sarathy agrees since his parents convince him while Srikala thinks this is the only chance to enter his life.
The rest of the story is about Sarathy-Srikala's married life together, how a good friendship between them turns into love, about Mekala meddling in their life, her marraige with Rathinaswamy and about her grandmother's life.
