I'm working woman in singapore. I have a 14 months old girl baby. I want suggestions in how to take care of baby without leaving the job. I cannot take a break in my job as i may not get job again in singapore and have issues with dh and inlaws also.
So i need to be independent. Till this time i took a help from my mom to take care of my baby. Here visa restrictions are high. So my mom cannot stay more than 3 months due to visa issues. My mil just came once and left saying i cannot come here any more. So just left with mom. Tough to get visa for her now as we have applied multiple times. Tried with day care but was tough to manage all by myself with little help from husband as it was very difficult to get a daily maid here. So my hubby suggested that we can hire a full time maid will be with us through out. This is how everybody will manage here and will place a camera in home. But i'm little scared as my baby is just 15 months old. And my parents are retired so my mom says that maid may not take care kid well. So to leave my daughter with her for around 6 months. And i can visit once in a month or two months once. So she might be around 2 years when she is back to singapore and can leave the kid to maid safely with camera installed. Now she is too small. This is my mom idea. I Cant think of living without kid. But maids are also scary. My mom will definitely take care of my kid like anything. Suggestions pls

Thanks for ur suggestions. My issue with near by day care was i was not able pick up my kid on time. Some times my office required late working hrs. I managed few days with day care was by working from home. But was tough to manage both office and home. As no help from any body. My husband also comes home late.

Just want to understand whether leaving kids to grandparents for 2 months in their place. Will it be a harm. My daughter is fine with my mom. As she is with her always. And i hope when she comes back to me she will come to me. Is this right

Its not wrong but sometimes she will take time to come to you small kid you see.. how you are saying that she is fine being with mom?? because some kids need mom stay next to them at night time. If you are not feeding her then no probs. still have time try and check places like daycare

    HI OP

I used to be anxious just like you when it was time for me to return back to work after 3 months. Ultimately we went with nanny option. She was expensive and she was going minor household stuff too. Now at 2 yrs, I feel I did right.

About nanny/maid with cameras, leaving kid to mother or daycare... I have seen people going with all options.
She will be fine with your mother too. In my case, I had thought about that but H was also not ready and India was too far to go every 2-3 months for us. My parents literally begged me to leave her to them. I was also not ready to separate from her. But I did have friends who did that. I myself was brought up by grandparents in village for sometime.

Nanny/Maid - Many people opt that when kid is small or born. Many prefer to do when kid is old enough to talk and tell about what went wrong as they feel daycare is safer with cameras around and other kids and teachers.

Since your kid is right age, you can think about daycare. If not ready yet, hire a nanny for 6-7 months, + work from home few days per week. Then shift her to daycare near office/ home. If you have heart to separate from kid, leave her with mom. I can not or would not.
