    hi,
    My husband is fond of tamil historical books. I have two weeks time to choose a name. I like to find a old historical boy name which is also look modern and unique.
    My husband suggesting names like aegan, anegan, neshan, nimalan.......
    I don't like this. Can someone suggest good one.

    Hi deepthi, just my 2 cents. I'm pregnant as well and this is how I shortlist names for the baby. If the kid will grow up in US please give a thought about pronunciation as well and some short names that he could use in school. E.g. My colleagues have a pure Tamil name E.g.: jeyachandiran, shivakumar- but they go as Jey and shiv which makes everyone's job easy. Whereas my close friend's name is vasanth and All his American colleagues find it hard to pronounce and they end up calling him as vaSAAnth just to give an idea. Also when you shortlist on a name think about pronunciation in American way (these all applies only if you guys decide to stay here during his school days)
