Suggest a good blender for making smoothies

    Hello Ladies,

    Can you please suggest a good blender for making smoothies and to grind paste for curries? I've a grinder with me already for batter purpose so I'm not looking for any high speed or expensive ones. I'm just looking for a basic model to makes smoothies.

    I'm hearing good reviews on kitchen aid, oyster but not for nutribullets.

    can you please suggest if oster 12 speed or 14 speed which is good?

    in sears, I saw a 14 speed for $36.99 and a 12 speed for $39.99

    Same here.. Using oster 12 speed blender bought from target 2 years ago on a thanksgiving sale for $19. It works well for smoothies.

    The wave action blender from Hamilton Beach has a jar that mixes better for smoothies.
