    hi everyone,

First time to the spirituality side.

When can our acts never bind us?

Everybody would accept the fact that success elate us and failure dishearten us. Is it possible to accept both as they come by?

    Very bold YES.

This state of mind is acquired when acts are done as offering to God. One will not be elated at success or disheartened by failure, for He prompts, He helps, He grants joy or grief as He wills, as He cares.

As we offer our acts we will have no attachment to the fruit of the deed. So will not be bound to its consequence.

One may ask, if I kill or injure somebody with full dedication to God, will I be saved?

If one is not pure in thoughts, words and deeds, he/she cannot have the attitude of dedication to God.

I quote from Dhyana Vahini - You may claim that you live according to dharma (righteousness). But, your basic flaw is that your acts are not done in the spirit of dedication. If so done, they get stamped with the authentic mark of dharma.

    regards,

    Vanaja

    Dear Mrs. Vanaja,

Just sharing a prayer that relates to your post:

    Karomi Yadyad Sakalam Paras_maiee
    Naaraayanaa_yeti Samar_payaa_mee

By body, word, mind, senses, intellect, Atma or natural tendency, whatever actions I perform - all these I dedicate unto Supreme Lord Narayana.

    Dear Lalitha,

Very short mantram and easy to learn too.

Is there any specific mantra for keeping our thoughts pure?

    regards,

    Vanaja

    Hello Vanaja,

I chant mantras for good vibration. I know only a few and hope the following Shanthi Mantram would help:

    SHANTHI MANTRA

    Om astoma sadgamaya
    tamasoma jyotirgamaya
    mrutyorma amrutamgamaya
    Om shantih shantih shantihi

Om, Lead me from the unreal to the real
    From darkness to light
    From mortality to immortality
    Om Peace Peace Peace.

If I come across a mantram for Pure Thought, I'll surely share it with you and similarly when you come across simple and meaningful mantrams do pm me.

    Have a lovely day.
