Stuffed bittergourd..no more taste of bitterness Ingredients 3 medium sized bittergourd Roasted chana dal - 1 cup Onion medium - 2 (make them in to 4 pieces each) Garlic - 5 Salt - As per taste Chilli powder- 2 tsps Jeera - 1 tsp Tamarind extract - 2 tsps Oil - for pan fry Preparation Cut the bittergourd in to 3 inch length pieces.For small size one..no need to cut ,keep them as is Boil bittergourd adding 2 tsps salt and tamarind extract till bittergourd becomes 75% cooked. Drain the water,keep it aside for 10 mins to cool Make a slit in each piece keeping top and bottom portion intact Grind roasted chana dal with salt,Jeera,chilli to coarse powder .Add onion ,garlic to same mixture and grind it once.Dont add water Use the grinded mixture to stuff the slited bittergourd pieces. Add oil in pan to fry the stuffed bittergourd.Pan fry bittergourd in medium/low flame for 10- 15 mins.

Hi nimmimoorthy, I did pan fry,Can do shallow fry also. but in low flame as the stuffing should be cooked
