    Hi all,

I have tried to store kothamali or corriander leaves in many ways. I used to separate the leaves from the stem and store it in an air tight container. But the leaves turn black in colour in 2-3 days. Is there any other way to store corrainder leaves for a long time?

    Thanks

I learned it from one of my aunt, just remove the band and cut stems, wrap them in a paper towel and store it in air tight box ( I use kinda lunch box), It will definitely save for 10 days at least. same trick works for curry leaves and pudina ( mint) too.

I put the coriander leaves in a box and place a tissue paper over it and keep it in the fridge . The leaves remain fresh for days.

I change the tissue paper after couple of days or so, if i find it wet.

The other way I do for any greens in general, is remove the roots if any...and then wrap it in alumunium foil. This too helps in keeping it fresh for days :).

Try to just store the leaves as soon as u get it from market.. Wash it wen u need in cooking.. WHen storing if the container has moisture r water droplets, it will make the leaves to blacken/ rot soon..
