Stomach Cramps During Ovulation

I don't get much stomach cramps during periods. Pain is 1.5/5. But for the past few months I have been having stomach cramps in the middle of the cycle , i.e. during ovulation (I have a period tracker app, and its the exact same 2-3 days of ovulation). This pain is more than period cramps. Its a pain of around 2.5/5. It switches sides - one month its left and the next its right. I know that the egg travels through the fallopian tube during this time - but is it supposed to pain? Is my stomach cramp because of the same reason? Does anyone else get these cramps during ovulation?
