    Hi, please clarify my query regarding tupperware.
    starting from the old one that we bought about 3 years back till the new one we bought a month ago, the tupperware tiffin boxes are stinking like anything.
    Are you facing the same issue. If not May I please know how to use it properly.
    All google suggestions are in vain. Pour out your ideas please

    @Rith

    Try washing them in warm / hot water. Sterilization will be effective.

    I used to have the same problem with Tupperware or any other kind of plastics. It will smell of the food taken for lunch prior days, plus the smell of dishwash liquid.
    Even after washing with warm water, the smell remains. Specially if you have taken rasam, pickle or other strong smelling food in it.

    Now I have stopped using Tupperware for any cooked food items.

    All lunch boxes are now steel. I use Tupperware and other plastics only for storing raw items like coriander leaves, shredded coconut, nuts etc.

    Try this with one.
    Fill it up with water.Put a few slices of lemon. Heat in microwave for a minute or two.
    If it works...let us know.
