    Hi,
I am Planning to go in for Sterilisation , I have a twins who are 3 + yrs now, so thought it is the right time to get operated.
I would like to know which method is the best, I heard Laprascopy is the best and healing is faster there then the Tobactomy way.
How long does it take to heal in each of the above methods???
I would also like to know if there are any after effects of the operation.

    Regards,
    Kavitha

Though I am quite late in replying...still from what i know...In india doctors are not very willing to do the sterlisation surgery till the younger child is 5 years old. Also vasectomy of the males is easier than tubectomy in females. Vasectomy is easily reversible and more successful than tubectomy. In vasectomy the patient can go home same day whereas tubectomy is minimum 3 days stay in hospital. Still this permanent method provides protection against unwanted pregnancy only and not against STD's.

    Regards.

    P.S. This is what i know/ heard..I am not a doctor.
