Stay Close Little One

Children grow up so quickly and then they want to spread their wings and fly. Many mothers might have felt this anguish I feel that one day, not too far away, my little one too would want to fly away.So stay close little one. There is no need to rush to fly.Till then through my small poem let me hold my child longer.

They say a mother bird knows better
It makes its little ones to fly away sooner

What does that bird know I thought
I do not want to send mine far from my heart

Little steps they want to take
And oh they long for the freedom to break

Every small little step away from me you make
My heart grows fonder and wants to break

Stay close my dear little one
There is still so much more time

You will grow and maybe then fly too far
Till then every moment I will hold tight and near

Dear AC
Yaar you made me cry............
This is what I am experiencing at present, in a few days my little bird is going to leave me and go away to strengthen his routes of future.
It is so painful for a mother only she can understand....
I keep thinking what I'm going to do without my dear little one.
But all mother's face this once or the other, she has to let her birdie fly to face the world to become more strong independent and successful citizen in life.

Did you notice the children are always in a rush to grow up and go? my dearest friend Aruna. Nothing wrong with that. That is how it should be. Still we mothers hope our child stays longer at home!!!????!!!!!

Hahahahahaha... I can see two mothers angush and feelings for their sons...

The kids will grow and conquer the world in their own style and manner... Worrying is not going to help them... Give them the freedom and be there for them when they want you...

I know, it is easily said than done...

Dear AC,

Watching the children growing is a pleasure for the mother. But once grown, if the children wants to fly - it is a real pain to a mother's heart. You have brought that happiness cum pain feeling in your poem in a excellent way.

Veda Spoken like a man. Its not worry. Its just a woman wants that child feeling longer and so clings to the child and does not want to let go. Fathers are different.

Dear AC,

Your write-up brought me to tears. When I was growing up, I remember that I always wanted to be free and independent. Now that I am a mommy myself, just thinking that one day my baby will leave me and go elsewhere makes me very very sad. I am trying to enjoy each moment that I have with my little one coz I know kids grow up so fast.

Dear AC

Your write up touched my heart.

Kids...spread their wings and we mom's will have to let them go. It is easier said than done.
Watching my little one growing up everyday...putting the memories in a treasure trove for recollection later as he moves to new horizons.
