Square or Oval casserole with glass lid - Corningware / Corelle

Hai Ladies,

Long time since I checked in here. Kind of busy with day-to-day stuff.

Just wanted to seek you guys tips / suggestions in some Kitchenware shopping that I wanna do.

I am looking for buying square / oval casserole with glass lid (may be pyrex). It can be plain white or with some simple designs in white.

I searched in Kitchen collection and Corningware stores in the nearby mall. Also in Walmart, Target and other stores that carry Corningware / Corelle collections. But they all seem to carry the standard round casserole. Surprisingly they had Pyrex glass lids in square and oval shapes, but there was no casserole to fit them. I also looked for Martha Stewart collections but in vain.

In fact, those Martha stewart casseroles even the round ones were very heavy.

I am looking for something of medium weight, 1 qt or 1.5 qt or 2 qt size, oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. Cook and serve types.

I also searched online and find a few in eBay, but they were all used and I am not so interested to go for used ones.

I am attaching a few pics of those casserole that I saw in eBay.

Please suggest any websites where I can find such casserole - new pieces.

Hi Rathi,

Look in the Corningware outlet stores( factory stores) . They usually have the 3 piece set for about 20 bucks and then also varying sizes sold as separate pieces.

Hi Vandhana,

Thank you for responding to my post. I did look in a corningware store in an outlet mall nearby but they seem to carry only round casseroles in various sizes.

I found pyrex glass lids - rectangular and oval ones, but no casseroles for them.

I don't know for some reason I am crazy about the square casseroles than the round ones.

Any other online store suggestions?

Hi Rathi,
I purchased cornigware casseroles in rectangle,ovel and round shapes with glass lids from Linen and Things.Try once there too.I don't have any idea about online stores.

Hi Rathi,

I recently bought a whole corningware set in Bed, Bath and Beyond.. The set has round/oval and square dishes with glass lids. They have a sale going on till end of Feb on these sets, the cost after mail-in rebate is $42 and I have 18 pieces.

I too love those square casseroles. I have looked in Outlet , and other places and disaapointed in not finding them. Did you find them in BBB or L & T. Please let me know.
