I'm posting this from my food blog. Had made the parathas today for dinner and it was yummy.

I had bought a big bunch of spring onions. Was wondering how to finish it off apart from using it in regular soups, dals etc. I then tried this paratha. The taste was awesome. You'll fall in love with this paratha. And what else, its healthy.

    Ingredients

    • Wheat flour - 1 cup
    • Besan / Kadala Maavu / Senaga Pindi - 2-3 tbsp
    • Spring Onions - 1/2 cup finely chopped. (if you like, you may increase the quantity)
    • Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp
    • Salt - as required
    • Oil / ghee - as required
    Procedure

    • Finely chop the spring onions (both white and green)
    • Make a dough with all ingredients with sufficient water. Note- water required would be little lesser than usually required.
    • Smear a little oil over the dough and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
    • Divide into balls and make chapathis in the usual way by smearing either ghee or oil on both sides and cook till done.
    • Serve hot with plain curd or any curry.
I find it heavenly even when served without any side dish.
